As we kick off the holiday season and all it brings, reflect on the Reason for the Season. Put the Thanks back into Thanksgiving and make a merry mark on your loved ones and patients giving others a Merry Christmas.

Why do the search results show these sites?

The answer is simple (and complicated). The word FREE is one of the most popular keywords used on the internet and on websites. Whether it is free or not is not the issue…the issue is by touting the word free the sites capture some of the highest internet traffic because people are looking for free stuff. In other words, it is what people are looking for. So, diverting that traffic to other sites is their goal…not actually providing free stuff.

We aim to provide you absolutely FREE continuing education for all medical professionals. Sometimes it is not easy to find even on our site as we list over 15,000 continuing education credits from more than 200 different sources.

Nursing is a large group of medical professionals. On our site, www.ceuq.com, nursing is actually our third most searched keyword term. Respiratory followed by Radiology have the most users on ceuq.com.

While we are happy to be useful to all medical professionals, we want to be the number one free continuing education site for ALL medical professionals. This is and has been our goal since inception and going live in 2005. Until we achieve that goal, we will not be happy.

The catastrophic flooding that we are seeing on our television is disturbing and heart wrenching. From North Carolina up into parts of Canada, we see that this storm was more than just a rain maker and high winds.

Many are still without power and basic services. Some are literally cut off from other towns and villages.

With what I am sure is the world wide healthcare community and service providers, we wish you all a safe and speedy recovery from this disaster.

Over 30 hours of FREE CEU/CE offered from Cardio Care Live, in conjunction with John Hopkins University. All are AACME approved, many specifically for Nurses and Nursing.

Courses are presented live on an almost daily basis. They also have many archived for you to attain at your leisure and pace.

A couple of notes about these courses/credits: Always look for the accrediting body. One in particular is to look for is American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (AACME). States and professions will differ on what credits they will accept. Look at your requirements closely. Yes, they may specify AACN for nurses or AARC for respiratory but nearly every state’s organization will accept AACME because that’s where accrediting starts. So look carefully.

You will need to sign up with the institutional provider. The sign up process is pretty straight forward. But getting to the CME/CE/CEU will try your patience. These are great courses but the navigation set up is very confusing and difficult at times.

So be patient and get your CE’s/CEU’s FREE!

Simply go to www.aheconnect.com, register online for the courses, and that’s it! Of course you’ll have to register for the specific course you want to take. Plus, the AHEC site will keep track of all the CE’s/CEU’s you earn! As usual, before taking a course make sure it has the proper accrediting authority if you are taking for license renewal. Or just take the course for the sake of learning something new!
